KURO is an Asian restaurant located in St Gallen, Switzerland. The client wanted 2 large oriental Koi Carp inspired murals, the artwork for which could be adapted for branding, takeaway bowls, window graphics, menus etc.

I wanted to create a blend of a traditional oriental Koi Carp and a dragon. To give a sense of scale I added small birds

The water was inspired by Hokusai's 'Great Wave' woodblock print.
