Smoking Rabbit

Inspired by a traditional Korean fable, this painting is part of a series of framed characters and symbolic animals. The rabbit sits within a decorative world of swirling pattern and foliage, while the drifting smoke hangs in the air, echoing the ornamental forms that surround the figure.
Part of an ongoing studio practice shaped by folk art, storytelling, pattern and decorative traditions.
